The Oasis Dancers are the Professional Belly Dance Troupe for the Academy of Middle Eastern Dance.

For the last 16 years, the Oasis Dancers have been a sought after act for festivals, (eg Woodford Folk Festival 1990 -2003) corporate and private functions and dance events.  

To enter the troupe, dancers must pass a challenging audition and commit to weekly rehearsals, continual dance skill development and a high standard of presentation and costuming. 

The Oasis Dancers are available for choreographed shows, as roving entertainers or can adapt to the needs of any particular event where belly dancers are required. Up to 10 gorgeous and skilled dancers may be booked. 

Props that may be used during a show include veils, swords, zills (finger cymbals) and Egyptian canes.  Shows may be tailored towards a more traditional folkloric look or display all the glitz and glamour of cabaret belly dancers.
